The Akshaya Patra Foundation is asocial organisation that builds on the foundation of PM POSHAN POSHAN (Mid-Day Meal) Programme by serving nutritious meals to children in government and goverment-aided schools. With a vision that no child in India studies on an empty stomach, the Foundation feeds 2.35 million children in 78 locations across India. Its efforts are in direct alignment with two critical Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 2 – Zero Hunger and SDG 4 – Quality Education.
